rave geometry & lostair

Through this project, Lost Air explores the geopolitical meaning of party space in underground scenes in Korea. They are interested in the way random party members interpret space by creating parties and recording them in various ways. In “Rave Geometry”, “Rave” refers to a party that generally deals with electronic music. The name implies the geopolitical meaning of the space in which the party is held and the record using a Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) sensor. Lost Air intends to express “rave” that fills the space with the movement and music of the audience through “party topography”.

Koko Killing Island & Crypton

Crypton: Koko Killing Island In a virtual ecosystem called &Koko Killing Island&, Crypton depicts a landscape of labor affected by such hyper-objects as global warming, and opens up an agora for discourses on technological and ecological accessibility. Crypton also explores how the multi-layers of hyper-objects in the Island can be deconstructed; and how the ownerships of deconstructed hyper-objects can transfer to and phase into individual audiences.

PROJECT HASHTAG 2022 SELECTED ARTISTS

LOST AIR

Lost Air began their activities in 2019 at 'DGBS', an abandoned underground space at the Students' Union building in K-Arts, Seoul. The team's four female planners(Lee Woogyeong, Lee Dayoung, Park Juyeong, Park Minju) plan an electronic music party and share their will for space. Lost Air thinks that parties are a medium between space and people. In collaboration with DJs, VJs, and producers who are active in the underground scene, the neglected space has been transformed into a space for artistic activities. Now, and in the future, activities that cross spatial and tangible/ intangible boundaries are being planned.
